In 2014 members of the church procured an old playground being taken out of a park in NI and set about refurbishing it, transporting and installing it in Mokembezi in Malawi. This was all done by church volunteers and was funded by the generous support of the congregation and friends who attended various fundraising initiatives. A team of ten, from the congregation, led by Rev David Steele travelled to Malawi in July 2016. Along with rebuilding and installing the playground the team fixed a bore hole, provided money to purchase bunk beds for the girls dorms in the secondary school, taught the local ladeis to knit and sew and gave guidance on medical and hygiene topics.
