Sunday Worship
The Minister and Kirk Session of Dundrod Presbyterian Church have announced that, following the closure due to Covid-19, the Church will re-open for people to attend Sunday morning worship in the Church building on Sunday 19th July. The service will commence at 11:30am. The church has been marked out for social distancing at 2m and the resulting capacity is approx 40-90 people (depending on family unit size).
>> Anyone with coughs, colds, high temperature or any symptoms similar to those of Covid 19 (high temperature, continuous cough, loss of taste or smell), must consider the safety of others and not attend until it is safe to do so. Please note if you have Covid-19 symptoms, you are required to self-isolate at home and only go out for the purpose of getting tested.
Church will continue streaming services online. Please do not feel pressurised in any way to attend the worship in the church building. You should only plan to attend when you feel safe and ready to do so. We would like to start small and while we would love to be altogether, we would encourage anyone who has been shielding or otherwise considered vulnerable to continue with our online worship for the present time.
Those attending are asked to strictly adhere to social distancing guidelines and any safety instructions given by ushers. You will not be able to sit in your normal pew but will be ushered to a suitable seating area on arrival.
You are required to wear a face mask throughout your time in the church building. Those attending should also bring their own Bibles; church Bibles have been removed from the pews as an extra precaution. Kirk Session will review procedures after two weeks.
Youth, children's and other groups and activities will not be re-opened until further notice.
Members should consider inviting another individual or family (up to the max no permissible under government guidelines) to join them for worship at home. As a church family we are all responsible for creating hospitality and showing fellowship (through small groups in the house or garden, via Zoom, etc), maintaining safe social distancing and other reasonable and legal precautions.
May God Bless each of us, as we continue looking to Him for guidance, protection and provision during this difficult season.

Minister
Dundrod Presbyterian Church.

Practically
Keep yourself safe. Obey the health guidelines given and avoid unnecessary social contact. Wash hands regularly (with soap) for at least 20 seconds. Children have been taught to sing 'Happy Birthday' twice to ensure they wash for 20 seconds. Might I suggest writing out or memorizing a verse such as Philippians 4:4,6-7 to say while washing:
"Rejoice in the Lord always.
Again I say: Rejoice!
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, Present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
Will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
If you are feeling unwell, do not go out and about. If you are isolated at home and would like someone to talk to or ANY practical help (prescriptions, necessary shopping supplies, etc) please contact us:
Tel. 028 9082 5211 / 07835939236 (or any of the church elders).
